Franchising explained

Franchising is a business model, which has grown over the years and now involves a variety of different industry types. From the well know fast food restaurants to professional tax advice and from home care to salons, franchising is now recognised and well respected as a professional and very successful way of expanding and securing a business.

Today there are over 800 different recognised brands that make up the franchising industry within the UK. It is the job of the British Franchise Association (bfa) to then accredit and promote the high standards of franchising, with only those able to pass its strict accreditation being members.
